I didn't even know this was buried inside me until I saw this painting.
I thought I was someone who could simply move forward after losing the people I loved. It turned out my mind had buried the trauma it couldn't survive at the time.
This painting asks the question I carried for years:
If someone spends years breaking another human being until they believe there is no way out, where does responsibility begin, and where does it end?
Can someone slowly destroy another person without ever touching the rope?
